Description
This is a unique experience and chance to get behind the scenes of a local award-winning cheesemaker in Tenerife. The tour will take one hour and starts with an introduction to the animals on the farm. Say hello to a baby goat and discover the local breed of Canary Island goats. Upon seeing the animals and understanding their rich history and relevance to Tenerife, you will be guided into the cheese factory. Get ready to uncover some of the secrets behind making delicious goat cheese. You will be carefully shown how they are crafted and aged. All of this education will make you yearn to sample this mouthwatering cheese, so lucky for you the tour ends with a cheese presentation, showcasing a range of cheese from farm fresh to smoked, semicured and aged.Includes
Guided tour of the goat farm and cheese factory where you can see how cheese is made by hand. Ends with a cheese degustation with three of the most awarded cheese.Important Information
- Minimum reservation of 2 person made 2 weeks in advance. Tours are available Monday - Friday from 10am to 1pm. Children from 3 - 11yrs are welcome and pay a child rate of 9 euros.
