Welcome to Colonial Bar & Restaurant, a friendly, family-run eatery situated by the picturesque  Fanabe Beach. Established since 1990, this perfectly located venue is renowned for homemade British and Spanish food, a wide range of authentic and ice cream cocktails, plus nightly entertainment. 

Freshly prepared by award-winning chefs, enjoy British favourites such as classic fish and chips, prime fillet steak, and Chef’s Favourite Half Shoulder of Lamb. The menu is extensive, including many vegetarian options such as Quorn lasagne, Special Quorn Burger, and a range of pizzas and pasta. Daily specials are available using the freshest of local produce and are lovingly prepared by talented chefs. The mammoth Full English Breakfast is just €7.50 and includes orange juice. Many options are available, from Spanish specialties such as crab chowder soup and calamari to homemade pies and Ploughman’s Lunch. 

When it comes to craving a Sunday Roast, Colonial has you covered. For just €16.95 you’ll be treated to a slap-up roast with all the trimmings, plus homemade apple pie or crumble! The portions are plentiful and much-loved by the locals.

The Colonial is an amazing restaurant. I have been eating every meal while on holiday as I wouldn't go anywhere else.


Incredible food isn’t all Colonial are famous for. Their cocktails are quite simply stunning. From classics such as Mojitos and Daiquiris to ice cream varieties like the Frozen Irish Mint and Strawberry Shortcake, there’s no better place to cool off after a day on the beach.
